Breeding Criteria
All dogs used in the breeding program at Loujuan German Shepherd Dogs are required to have a working skill and and be in training toward a working title in obedience, herding, agility, therapy, search and rescue, schutzhund, or other activity that demonstrates the athletic ability, intelligence, and versatility of the breed. Each dog must have PennHIP, BVA or OFA rated hips. Elbows will be evaluated through OFA or BVA.

The Beginning........
My first GSD was Monami Dark Side of the Moon (Darcie). I acquired Darcie at the tender age of 9 weeks in June of 1997. She has been my constant companion since then. Although Darcie does not have any official titles, she has performed in a variety of jobs. She has worked as a Pet Therapy dog, backpacked (carrying her own pack) on several trips in the mountains with me, and been my staunch protector from numerous threats at home and while traveling.
Current Training Venues
Currently several dogs are being trained in Obedience.Several of the younger dogs are now in beginning Obedience training and should be ready to compete soon. Lovie is our current rising star. She is a daughter of Erin and Ditto. Her page will be posted soon, but you can read about her most recent accomplishments on the What's New Page!
Colors Available
We produce Black/Red, Black/Tan, Black/Cream, Blue/Red, Blue/Tan, and Blue/Cream colored pups. We can also produce a variety of solid or sable patterned dogs. We are now able to produce Liver pups; however my first priority will be to produce Liver carriers with sound conformation to increase the gene pool for Livers. I will have occasional Liver puppies available.
