Breeding Criteria All dogs used in the breeding program at Loujuan German Shepherd Dogs are required to have a working skill and in the future must have at least one working title in obedience, herding, agility, therapy, search and rescue, schutzhund, or other activity that demonstrates the athletic ability, intelligence, and versatility of the breed. The Beginning........ My first GSD was Monami Dark Side of the Moon (Darcie). I acquired Darcie at the tender age of 9 weeks in June of 1997. She has been my constant companion since then. Although Darcie does not have any official titles, she has performed in a variety of jobs. She has worked as a Pet Therapy dog, backpacked (carrying her own pack) on several trips in the mountains with me, and been my staunch protector from numerous threats at home and while traveling. Current Training Venues Currently several dogs are being trained in Obedience. Herding training is on hold until our instructor is in better health |

Colors Available We produce Black/Red, Black/Tan, Black/Cream, Blue/Red, Blue/Tan, and Blue/Cream colored pups. We can also produce a variety of solid or sable patterned dogs. When we locate a suitable Liver colored mate for one of the liver girls we should be able to produce Liver pups; however my first priority will be to produce Liver carriers with sound conformation to increase the gene pool for Livers. Longcoats, Blues and Livers Although Blue and Liver colors are faulted colors for the conformation show ring, these colors hold a special place in our hearts. Loujuan German Shepherd Dogs has Black, Liver, Blue, Blue-carrier, and White breeding stock. We have solids, sables, bicolors, and saddle-backs. Some of our dogs are also white-factored. Longcoats are another fault in the conformation show ring. However, they too are very special to us. While most of our dogs are stockcoated, the majority of them also carry the longcoat gene.We hope to be adding another longcoat or longcoat-carrier in the next year. |

. Kyra,Sunny and her daughter, Indee, have earned their UKC Championship titles! Scrappy, Mandy, and McCoy are all UKC Champion pointed now. We expect Mandy and McCoy to finish their UKC Championships this Fall. Bella, Foxxy, and Joker will begin their Conformation careers this Fall as well. Unfortunately Scrappy will not be allowed to compete again because of his tail
. Chewie is enjoying a well-deserved retirement. He also fills in as a 'puppy-sitter'.
