Occupation: Loyal companion. Due to a stroke at 9mos of age, Bella has residual weakness in her hind legs. Although we had hopes of using her in our breeding program, it is not safe for her to be bred. She will remain with us as a wonderful companion.

UPDATE:

Although we intended for Bella to remain with us, she has gone as a companion to Meggie to a new home. When we met Meggie's new family I took Bella with me and they absolutely fell in love with Bella at first sight. Meggie and Bella have always been "buds" and Bella seemed quite happy with the new family as well. Both girls are sorely missed, but they are enjoying being the center of attention at their new home!

Bella is one of the most uniquely colored GSDs I've ever seen. She has an older sister and a younger half-sister with the same coloration. We had hoped to breed Bella to determine if she would produce her color, but that was not to be.

Bella doesn't allow her disability to slow her down. She has the heart of a lion and refuses to do less than her best.
